Happy Anniversary! March 2007 Our Wedding - April 11, 2008   Can you believe it's been 3 years since we were married?! It's a good thing, but it feels like forever. We've had so much fun these past three years. We've taken some amazing trips - Playa del Carmen, Mexico ; St. Thomas; St. John ; family trips to Idaho, Pennsylvania, Florida...We've sold a house and purchased OUR first house . I'm so lucky to have married such a wonderful man. He's my best friend, my rock - I love you! I look forward to many more years together. I can't wait to see what God and the future hold for us.

Biggest Loser - HDR Style

Several folks in another department have decided to create their own "Biggest Loser" competition, and they decided to open it up to several others. I've really been on the fence...do I? Don't I? I decided this morning that I'm ready and this just might be the kick in the butt I need to get back in shape and rock my " Fit Trip ." Below you will find some of the basic information about our competition...I'll be posting my progress over on my Fit Trip blog. Details of the competition: Initial weigh-in will be Friday April 8th at 9am Second weigh-in will be Friday May 6th Final weigh-in will be Friday June 3, 2011 Winner will be decided based on percentage of weight lost Example: if a person weighing 200 pounds loses 20 pounds the result would be 10% lost while if a person weighing 150 pounds loses 20 pounds the result would be 13.3% lost so the 150 pound person would win.

All Better - New Glasses!

Image
I'm happy to say that on Saturday it will have been four weeks since my first fall and this past Tuesday marked three weeks since the stitches went in! No more accidents! I went last week to the eye doctor for a regular exam - needed to help explain the cost of new glasses to insurance! I picked up my new frames last night... What do you think? Ha...I just noticed you can see my headphone cords in these photos! And...here's a photo of the scars...Lookin good hu?! Can hardly tell...still anyone who sees me now that doesn't know about the little trips has no idea. The glasses have hid the scars well!

We all knew it was coming...the weather folks have been talking about it for a while now, so it was no surprise when I woke up this morning to a beautiful blanket of white! Here are a couple photos i took on my way to work!

Getting Better

Image
Well my eye is getting better. Sunday night I went back to the ER to have the stitches taken out! I am actually amazed at how tiny the scars are. I really don't think anyone will be able to see them - unless you are really looking! Here are a few photos... Just got the stitches out...look how tiny and good everything looks! Another one from Sunday night...yeah I still have a good shiner!   Just took this today - Tuesday morning...one week later! The brusing and swelling are nearly gone, stitches are out and can hardly see a thing! Lookin Good!!!!

Accident Prone

So this week has been all about me falling...Saturday I stumbled down the last three steps into our hallway and have sprained the left side of my back. Thankfully that's feeling MUCH better now - after a couple trips to our wonderful chiropractor, ice, stretches and Alieve! Then Tuesday night the real doozey! I tripped on a raised slab in our driveway and landed on my right side directly on my glasses which penetrate my face. I got up from the driveway, picked up the pieces of my glasses and went into the house. I'm a bit bummed that I didn't think to take a photo of my glasses before getting them temporarily fixed. I walked in the house, looked at my face and called mom immediately - I told her "I need you to come over and take me to the eye doctor." click! Unfortunately my eye doctor was closed. Unfortunately L has been out of town this week and wasn't home to help me out. That's okay - my mom was here and more than willing to do anything for me! So ...
