Merry Christmas

To all Family and Friends - We want to wish you a very Merry and Blessed Christmas! May you all know and feel the warmth and love of God during this holiday season. Enjoy the time you have with friends and family. Here is  a song I've heard on the radio this season that I have found very moving: A Baby Changes Everythng sung by: Faith Hill Teenage girl, much too young Unprepared for what’s to come A baby changes everything Not a ring On her hand All her dreams and all her plans A baby changes everything A baby changes everything The man she loves she’s never touched How will she Keep his trust A baby changes everything A baby changes everything And she cries, oh she cries She has to leave, go far away Heaven knows she can’t stay A baby changes everything She can feel it’s coming soon There’s no place, there’s no room A baby changes everything A baby changes everything And she cries and she cries oh she cries Shepherds all gather round...

Happy Thanksgiving & Merry Winter!

First I wanted to wish everyone who reads this a very Happy (belated) Thanksgiving! I personally have so many things to be thankful for this year... My health My family Two new wonderful additions to our family...one we are still waiting to come home, but she's in our hearts already! Last and certainly not least...My wonderful husband - Lou, I love you so much! Secondly, I didn't realize how appropriate it was when I changed our background yesterday to the snowmen. When I left work yesterday (actually today) it was snowing! Merry Winter! I'm not sure I'm ready for it, but if I were at home with a nice cup of tea, a good book or movie and snuggled under the blanket, it would be wonderful and beautiful!

Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive

Mom and I took part of our annual tradition of bell ringing for the Salvation Army last week. Weather wasn't too bad, a little cold, but mom made us some hot cider and the two hours outside of HyVee went quickly. We did better this year than last year! Our totals for the last two years are listed below. Each year we've donated two hours! 2007 -- $26.40 2008 -- $28.43 Thanks for a fun night Mom!!! Hopefully we can do better next year and aim for $35.00 in our two hour time frame! Remember...you can still donate to the Salvation Army -- click on my Red Kettle on the Right!
