Here are some pictures of our patio adventure!! Tuesday -- Lou & I staked out the area, then Lou went and spray painted the spot and scored around the edges! Wednesday -- Lou hired someone to come out and excavate the area for us...Best money spent. We'd have spent all week digging out this area, and these guys got it done in 30 min. Thursday -- Lowe's was supposed to deliver the brick, sand and paver base...read story below about this!!! Friday -- We got rain over night and had a nice wadding pool. Lou went out and tried syphoning the area. Ended up just using a bucket and bailing the area. Lowe's finally came and delivered the stuff this morning!!! Saturday -- Lou & Don move all the brick & sand to the back yard. We had to cancel the reservation for the electric tamper because the area was too wet and the paver base wouldn't set correctly if there was standing water. They (the weathermen) were calling for rain and severe storms all weekend. Oh...

Okay...so this new patio is quite the task. Last night, Thursday, Lowe's was going to be at the house sometime after 4:00pm. Okay, no big deal. Lou was there with Brad around 3:30, I got home around 4:30. No Lowe's. Lou calls Lowe's to make sure they are still coming, during this call, Lou finds out that they supposedly they tried calling us -- no message, no missed calls -- to let us know they don't have all of our supplies. WHAT?!?! There was more than enough on Sunday when we made the purchase...where did it all go? Go get it from another store!!! So long story short, they did not deliver anything last night and should have already delivered the goods today (sometime btwn 7:00 am & 9:00 am). To top it all off, we got about an inch of rain last night, so this morning, Lou was outside at 5:45 scooping out the pooled water in our pit! I took one picture this morning and will try to get the photos posted next week of our lovely new patio! Stay tuned for the next inst...

Okay, so I forgot to bring my camera in to work with me today...but last night we started the major undertaking of installing a 15' x 18.8' patio in our back yard!!! This sucker is huge! It's actually larger than our master bedroom -- approximately the same size in sq. feet as our basement!!! Last night we were able to get the sod ripped up and the 6" deep hole dug up...and the really amazing part...it only took us 30 min to do all of this. How you may ask...only 30 min for such a large area??? Lou called some one up and they came out and dug it out!! Truly amazing, these guys made the work look way too easy! Tonight, Lowe's is supposed to deliver all of the stone, sand, and paver base! I just wish it wasn't raining today and that they weren't calling for rain all weekend! UGH. Oh well, hopefully it won't hurt our efforts! I'll add pictures tomorrow.

AHHHH ...MEXICO!!! It would be so nice to go back! The sun, the sand, the relaxation...it really was great! I'm really sorry it's taken so long to get pictures posted. But it's been crazy busy since we landed back in Omaha ;-) Okay...I'll try to give you a brief, but detailed overview of our lovely honeymoon! When we arrived in Cancun, we were instructed to look for the guys in turquoise shirts/vests. We found the guys and surprisingly they were with the right travel agency " Lomas Travel ." They led us to the van that would take us from Cancun to Playa del Carmen. We were a bit nervous though when we got on the van when the first thing we see is the box of empty Corona bottles...We quickly learned that the bottles were actually for sale - 2 for $5 USD . After an hour long drive...a bit of a scary one at that...the Mexicans are crazy drivers...we finally arrive at our hotel! The Royal in Playa del Carmen ! Oh it was beautiful. Really pictures and verba...

Hey everyone! No we haven't forgotten to post anything from our honeymoon...it's just been really busy. I hope maybe this weekend or early next week to get a recap posted with some pictures...stay posted!!! To all the mother's in our lives we wanted to wish you all a very HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY !

As many of you know, we are leaving tomorrow morning (early) for Mexico! We are both so very excited and can't wait to get there for some relaxation and an escape from our busy "everyday" lives!!! Hopefully we'll both come back nice and tan and very relaxed!
