Patio - Installment #3

Here are some pictures of our patio adventure!!

Tuesday -- Lou & I staked out the area, then Lou went and spray painted the spot and scored around the edges!


Wednesday -- Lou hired someone to come out and excavate the area for us...Best money spent. We'd have spent all week digging out this area, and these guys got it done in 30 min.

Thursday -- Lowe's was supposed to deliver the brick, sand and paver base...read story below about this!!!

Friday -- We got rain over night and had a nice wadding pool. Lou went out and tried syphoning the area. Ended up just using a bucket and bailing the area. Lowe's finally came and delivered the stuff this morning!!!

Saturday -- Lou & Don move all the brick & sand to the back yard. We had to cancel the reservation for the electric tamper because the area was too wet and the paver base wouldn't set correctly if there was standing water.

They (the weathermen) were calling for rain and severe storms all weekend. Oh, but guess what...Sunday & Monday turned out to be really nice days. Sun shining most of the day, small burst of rain Sunday night, but overall a dry couple of days. Well, this will give us some time to haul in a little dirt and level out the area a bit more. We are hoping to finish the patio this coming weekend. Lou has been able to recruit a few friends to help us out on Saturday. I'm hoping we are able to get it done this time. I can't wait to use the new patio!!!

Nice wadding pool!!! Can't wait to see the finished project! Hope this week brings sun and dries up the "pool" for you guys to work on Saturday.

40x40 Bucket List Update

Holy cow, we are in 2021. Who would have thought. I started this list in 2015 around my 34th birthday. I thought it would be fun to review and see how far I made it on the list. My 40th will be here in a few months! Looking down the list - I didn't do very well.
