What A Week!

Image
Wow...This past week went by so quickly! Tuesday night, Mom and I made a trip to Blair, NE, to support a family friend and priest who's brother died the Friday before. It was very sad, but nice to see how many people from the Blair community came to support this man at the Wake/Rosary. Then on Wednesday, Mom and I went to CanFest 2007! CanFest is a pro-bono concert that The Kat (a local country radio station) has held for the past 5 years! I don't think Mom and I have missed a show yet! The concert raises money and canned food for the Omaha Food Bank. The artists we saw this year included: Lee Brice, Carolina Rain, & Hal Ketchum. Lee Brice - Carolina Rain - Hal Ketchum Friday came...Lou & I went and had game night with some friends and had a wonderful time! When I finally got home, mom, Addison and Olivia were there waiting for me. Actually, Addison and Olivia were asleep...but you know they were dreaming about their favorite Aunt Bubba!!!! Saturday we had fun at...

I recently caved and made my first "infomercial" purchase...Now don't make fun of me yet. I've tried this product before I made the purchase. The gym I belong to recently purchased The Bean . I've used it several times and man...I can feel the burn. I haven't yet tried my Bean out, it just arrived last night! But I am excited to start using it. I know...I'm crazy, but I do think it's great -- at least so far I do ;-)

Not much new!

So Jenny kind of shamed me into posting...though there really isn't much new happening in the life of Cassie. Mom, Kerry, Tony, Addison & Olivia made a REALLY long drive to Pocatello, Idaho to visit Kevin, Jenny & Leo for Leo's first birthday. I really do wish that Lou and I could have made that trip with them as well, but there's Thanksgiving! I can't wait! During the extended weekend, Kerry, Jenny & Mom went looking for bridesmaids dresses...from what I gathered it wasn't a very productive trip to the stores. Very surprisingly, there aren't too many options in Pocatello...even from the "largest bridal salon in Idaho"!!! So the search continues on finding the bridesmaids dresses. If you see anything, let me know! I'm really open to suggestions...The dress needs to be black (preferrably) and something Kerry & Jenny will be able to wear again (should they so choose). Last Saturday, Lou & I went around to a variety of stores to be...

So sorry!

Wow...it's been a long time since I last posted anything. Fortunately or unfortunately...you decide, there really hasn't been much going on. I did purchase my dress, but since Lou will read this on occassion, I can't give you any more details than it's ivory in color ;-). I think we are very close to selecting our photographer, florist and baker. We still have to pick out our wedding bands and honeymoon location! Slowly but surely everything seems to be falling into place for us. There are some things, that I just sit back and think..."it really can't be this easy" That's really about all that's going on right now. Mom, Kerry, Tony, Addison and Olivia are on their way to Idaho for Leo's first birthday. Lou, Mom and I will make it out again for Thanksgiving! I can't wait to see the new house and see Leo again! I'm really sorry I"ll be missing his birthday. I'm just so glad they stopped through Nebraska on their way to Idaho and ...

Family Fun!

Oh what a wonderful weekend we had. Kevin, Jenny & Michael Leo (as well as Abby & Taylor) stopped for a visit on their move from Charleston, SC, to Pocatello, ID! It was such a blast to have the family together again! It's been way too long since it happened last. Everyone arrived at Kerry & Tony's house Friday night. It was fun watching the cousins play together all weekend. As a special surprise, Grammy & Bubba asked Addison if she wanted to have a slumber party at the hotel with them. She had a good time (or at least we thought she did)...We stayed up and watched a "movie"...really just a 30 minute TV show! We went swimming in the morning as another surprise to Addison for staying dry all night long! She was such a good girl the whole night long! On Saturday we had a party for Addison and Olivia for their birthdays...I don't have any pictures of this, everyone else had their camera's out! But believe me...it was fun and oh what craziness...
