I know this is a little late, but on Saturday August 22nd, Lou and I went to Seward to share in the wedding celebrations of a college friend of mine! Congratulations to Olie and Gloria! Here are a few pictures.

Wow...what a weekend. Thankfully I only had to work Sunday, so I was able to enjoy Saturday with my husband! We recieved tickets to the Defenders of Freedom Air Show at Offutt Air Force Base Saturday. This was my first airshow and I had a blast. I can't believe what the men and women can do with those airplanes. Do a complete verticle 3 miles into the air and then repete comeing down...OMG!!! Maybe next year Lou and I will stay all day and wait for the Blue Angels. After a brief nap at home we met up with Rob and Jen for dinner and the Loggins and Messina concert at Harrah's! Sadly the only song I knew was their last song "Your Mama Don't Dance," but I did find a new song I enjoyed (well several, but one in particular)..."House at Pooh Corner."

Just some pictures to share from our trip east to Pittsburgh PA! Everyone had a great time... We started the trip at Idlewild & the Storybook Forrest... You can hardly see them, but Leo & Uncle Lou had a great time on this ride!!! And now on to the Reunion -- and this isn't all of the Utzig's either!!! Grandpap and his kids! Grandpap and his Greatgrand kids (I just realized we didn't get a picture of Pap with his GRANDkids... Some fun pinata time...

Sorry these pictures are so late... We started the weekend at the Children's Museum Then Uncle Lou lit up the sky with some fireworks!

I can't believe the 4th of July has come and passed already! WOW. I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th. I know we did. The Chapman family came into Omaha and we had a great time. Went to the Childrens Museum on Friday and to Coco Key Water Park Saturday. We had some family over for a BBQ Saturday night, and then once the street was cleared of most cars, Lou set off some fireworks. Man I was a worried wife watching him...this was our first year really "hosting" the 4th at our house...I hope it's the first of many fun BBQ get-togethers.

I can harldy believe it's been over a month since my last post. Sorry that this blog hasn't been more interesting! But that's just our life these days. Last week we had our carpets cleaned! OH MY...they look brand new! We have now instituted a new rule in our house...shoes off at the door! We want to keep our nice clean carpets looking this way for a long time! Sadly right now that's the the biggest news we have! College World Series starts this weekend...Can't wait!
